Kim Kardashian has stirred controversy by posting a picture of Melania Trump during Donald Trump’s Presidential Inauguration this past Monday. The event marked Trump’s swearing-in as the 47th President of the United States, accompanied by his wife, Melania, and their son Barron.

The reality star, aged 44, shared a photograph of the newly minted First Lady, elegantly dressed in a chic black suit and hat, on her Instagram story, which triggered significant reactions on social media platforms. Although Kardashian has abstained from publicly supporting any candidate in the 2024 Presidential race, in which Donald Trump triumphed over Kamala Harris, her recent activities and associations have fueled speculation.

Kim’s connections to key Trump ally Elon Musk, who now leads the Department of Government Efficiency, along with her maintained friendship with Ivanka Trump, have been questioned.

A social media user commented: “Did Kim Kardashian really post a photo of Melania? It’s obvious who she supports.”

Others echoed, “She just couldn’t keep it to herself any longer!”

Several criticized her action as ‘appalling.’

Kardashian has had past visits to the White House, notably in 2018, to advocate for prison reform, aligning herself with justice initiatives during Trump’s earlier presidency.

Reactions to her post were mixed among fans and onlookers.

Some admired Melania’s stylish appearance, saying, “Good choice, Kim. She knows how to pick class and elegance.”

Others disapproved, pointing out, “Of course a billionaire would back the right. That’s no surprise.”

Despite Trump’s recent political victory, their history of disagreements persists.

In late 2023, Trump publicly criticized Kardashian on Truth Social, calling her ‘the most overrated celebrity’ following claims of her attempts to entice sports figures to the White House, according to Mail Online.

Jonathan Karl, in his book Tired of Winning: Donald Trump and the End of the Grand Old Party, suggested that Trump allegedly proposed sentence commutations in return for Kardashian leveraging her star appeal to bring athletes to him.

While Kardashian made an effort, Karl recounted that the players refused, citing Trump’s controversial standing.

Trump rebuffed these claims, branding Karl a ‘discredited ABC Fake News journalist’ and retorting that Kardashian wouldn’t be his choice to recruit football players.

He emphasized that numerous athletic teams had visited during his administration.
